Ingredients:
- 3 cups filtered water
- 6 bags standard black tea
- 0.125 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- 5 cups filtered water
Instructions:
- Bring 3 cups of filtered water to a rolling boil in a small saucepan. Remove from heat immediately.
- Add 6 tea bags and 0.125 tsp baking soda to the hot water. Submerge fully and steep for exactly 15 minutes without squeezing the bags.
- Remove tea bags gently. While the tea is hot, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar until completely dissolved.
- Pour the tea concentrate into a 2-quart pitcher. Add 5 cups of room-temperature filtered water and stir to combine.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until thoroughly chilled. Serve over ice with optional lemon or mint.
