Ingredients:
- 2 (6 oz / 170g) salmon fillets
- 1 tablespoon / 15ml olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon / 2.5ml sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon / 1.25ml black pepper
- 1 sprig fresh thyme (optional)
- 1 lemon slice (optional)
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
Instructions:
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- Drizzle salmon with olive oil, and season generously with salt, pepper, garlic (if using), thyme (if using), and lemon (if using).
- Place salmon fillets in the zip-top bag in a single layer.
- Seal the bag, leaving a small opening. Submerge in water to remove air. Seal completely.
- Preheat oven to 275°F / 135°C. Check with an oven thermometer for accuracy.
- Place the bag in the baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the salmon reaches 125°F / 52°C (for medium-rare) or 130°F / 54°C (for medium).
- Use a meat thermometer to verify internal temperature.
- Carefully remove the salmon from the bag. Serve immediately.
