Ingredients:
- 1 Magazine File (cardboard or plastic)
- Decorative Paper or Fabric
- Craft Glue or Mod Podge
- Scissors or Craft Knife
- Ruler or Measuring Tape
- Pencil
- Optional: Embellishments (Ribbon, buttons, stickers, paint, etc.)
Instructions:
- Prep the File: Lightly sand the magazine file if it has any rough edges. Wipe clean.
- Measure and Cut: Measure the exterior surfaces of the magazine file. Cut the decorative paper/fabric slightly larger than each measured piece (allowing for overlap).
- Apply Glue: Apply a thin, even layer of glue to one section of the magazine file.
- Attach Covering: Carefully position and smooth the paper/fabric onto the glued surface, working from the center outwards to eliminate air bubbles.
- Repeat: Repeat steps 3 & 4 for each exterior surface of the magazine file, overlapping edges neatly.
- Trim Excess: Once the glue is dry, trim any excess paper/fabric using scissors or a craft knife.
- Seal (Optional): If using Mod Podge, apply a thin coat over the entire surface to seal and protect the paper/fabric.
- Embellish (Optional): Add any desired embellishments (ribbon, buttons, stickers, etc.) once the glue is fully dry.
- Dry Completely: Allow the finished file to dry completely before using.
