  • 3 cups (360g) Bisquick baking mix
  • 4 cups (448g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup (30g) chopped green onions or chives (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (optional).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked breakfast sausage, Bisquick, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk.
  3. Use your hands to mix all ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. If using, gently fold in the chopped green onions or chives.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. A cookie scoop helps ensure even sizes.
  5. Arrange the sausage balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the sausage balls cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.
