Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (40g) rolled oats (not instant)
- 1 cup (240ml) water
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: Brown sugar, maple syrup, honey, fresh or dried fruit, nuts, seeds, butter, cream, yogurt
Instructions:
- In the saucepan, combine rolled oats, water, and a pinch of salt.
- Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the oatmeal reaches your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat.
- Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and add your desired toppings. Enjoy immediately!
