Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Tequila Blanco (100% agave)
- 1 ounce (30 ml) Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
- ¾ ounce (22 ml) Cointreau
- Ice cubes
- Lime wedge (optional)
- Coarse salt (kosher or sea salt, optional)
Instructions:
- Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass (optional).
- Pour a thin layer of salt onto a small plate (optional).
- Gently press the rim of the glass into the salt, rotating to coat evenly (optional).
- Add tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau to a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Secure the lid on the shaker.
- Shake for 15-20 seconds, until the shaker is well-chilled.
- Strain the margarita into your prepared glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel (optional).
