Ingredients:

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened (14g)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (approximately 28g)
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (approximately 28g)
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (approximately 7g)
  • Optional: a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Combine cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese and spread the cheese mixture evenly on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread. Sprinkle with garlic powder and/or onion powder, if using. Top with the remaining slice of bread, buttered-side up.
  3. Heat the non-stick skillet over low heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet.
  4. Cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted and gooey. Use a spatula to gently press down on the sandwich to encourage even cooking.
  5. Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
