Ingredients:
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened (14g)
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (approximately 28g)
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (approximately 28g)
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (approximately 7g)
- Optional: a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder
Instructions:
- Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Combine cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese and spread the cheese mixture evenly on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread. Sprinkle with garlic powder and/or onion powder, if using. Top with the remaining slice of bread, buttered-side up.
- Heat the non-stick skillet over low heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted and gooey. Use a spatula to gently press down on the sandwich to encourage even cooking.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
