Ingredients:

  • 4 oz (120 ml) gin or vodka
  • 1 oz (30 ml) dry vermouth
  • 2 oz (60 ml) pickle brine
  • Ice cubes
  • 2-4 pickle spears or slices
  • Fresh dill sprigs (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Chill the glass by placing your martini glasses in the freezer or filling with ice water.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add gin (or vodka), dry vermouth, and pickle brine.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice cubes to the brim.
  4. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds if using the shaker, or stir gently for about 30 seconds if mixing in a glass until well chilled.
  5. Empty the chilled glasses of ice water or take them out of the freezer.
  6. Using a strainer, pour the mixture into the prepared glasses.
  7. Add pickle spears or slices on a skewer and optionally a sprig of dill for garnish.
