Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs ripe tomatoes
- 16 oz fresh mozzarella
- 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
- 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
- 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Slice the tomatoes into 1/4-inch rounds, arrange them on a platter, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Let them sit for 10 minutes to release their juices.
- Cut the fresh mozzarella into rounds of similar thickness to the tomatoes.
- Gently pat the basil leaves dry with a paper towel.
- Create a shingle by placing a slice of mozzarella on top of a tomato slice, followed by a whole basil leaf.
- Repeat the tomato-mozzarella-basil sequence, overlapping the slices slightly in a circular or linear pattern.
- Slowly drizzle the extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze over the entire platter and finish with cracked black pepper.
