Ingredients:
- 12 Hawaiian rolls (approx. 450g)
- 1 pound (450g) thinly sliced ham
- 1 pound (450g) turkey or chicken breast, cooked
- 12 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup (240ml) fresh pineapple chunks, optional
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons (30g) Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon (15g) honey
- 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5g) onion powder
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) poppy seeds, optional
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them completely.
- Place the bottom halves of the rolls in the baking dish. Layer on half of the ham, a layer of turkey or chicken, followed by Swiss cheese, and optional pineapple. Top with the remaining ham and turkey/chicken.
- Place the top halves of the rolls back on.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. Whisk until smooth.
- Using a pastry brush, generously coat the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Cut sliders apart and enjoy warm!
