Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (250g) self-rising flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1 cup (240g) full-fat plain yogurt (Greek yogurt works beautifully too)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (optional, but recommended for easy cleanup).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and yogurt.
  3. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix! The dough will be slightly sticky.
  4. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  5. Gently pat or roll the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick.
  6. Use a biscuit cutter (or a knife) to cut out 6-8 biscuits.
  7. Place biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Watch them carefully!
  9. Let cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.
