Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons celery salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon dried bay leaf, crushed
  • ½ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine all the spices (celery salt, mustard, sweet paprika, smoked paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, ginger, crushed bay leaf, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, and cardamom).
  2. Whisk all the ingredients together until thoroughly combined and evenly distributed.
  3. Taste the spice blend and adjust the cayenne pepper or other spices to your liking.
  4. Transfer the spice blend to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
