Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz / 170g each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup honey (85g)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (30 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15 ml)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (5 ml)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • Chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes (if using), lemon juice, and sesame oil.
  3. Marinate salmon in the glaze for at least 20 minutes, or up to 1 hour.
  4. Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake salmon for 12-15 minutes. Pan-Fry: Heat olive oil. Cook salmon for 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions (optional). Serve immediately.
