Ingredients:
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground (or to taste)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Be careful not to let it brown.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant but not browned. Keep the heat low to avoid burning the garlic.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Pour the garlic butter into a mixing bowl.
- Add the chopped parsley, chives, lemon zest, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
- Whisk or stir with a fork until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Bring to room temperature or gently reheat before using.
