Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (50g) rolled oats (old-fashioned, not instant)
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon (16g) peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup (or honey, or agave)
  • ½ medium banana, mashed (or sliced for topping)
  • Optional: Pinch of salt
  • Optional: Additional toppings like chopped nuts, seeds, chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. In your jar or container, add the rolled oats, milk, peanut butter, maple syrup, and optional salt.
  2. Stir well to combine, ensuring the peanut butter is evenly distributed.
  3. Stir in most of the mashed banana, reserving a little for topping if desired.
  4. Cover the jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, for delicious overnight oats.
  5. The next morning, give the oats a good stir. Add a splash more milk if they're too thick.
  6. Top with remaining banana slices and any other desired toppings. Enjoy your overnight oats!
