Ingredients:
- ½ cup (50g) rolled oats (old-fashioned, not instant)
- 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon (16g) peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup (or honey, or agave)
- ½ medium banana, mashed (or sliced for topping)
- Optional: Pinch of salt
- Optional: Additional toppings like chopped nuts, seeds, chocolate chips
Instructions:
- In your jar or container, add the rolled oats, milk, peanut butter, maple syrup, and optional salt.
- Stir well to combine, ensuring the peanut butter is evenly distributed.
- Stir in most of the mashed banana, reserving a little for topping if desired.
- Cover the jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, for delicious overnight oats.
- The next morning, give the oats a good stir. Add a splash more milk if they're too thick.
- Top with remaining banana slices and any other desired toppings. Enjoy your overnight oats!
